Erin Rubenking MA, LPC, LAC

SPORTS PSYCHOLOGIST

Erin has been a runner her whole life. Growing up, she played basketball, soccer and softball but always came back to distance running. Erin became passionate about the mental health of athletes and the importance of building a healthy mind in order to perform at your best.

She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from CU Denver and started working with people struggling with eating disorders and substance use - including athletes from all levels of competition. In 2018, she joined CU Boulder’s Psychological Health & Performance Department within Athletics where she oversaw the mental health and performance of all the student-athletes. Over the next 6.5 years, she worked with Division I athletes to help them navigate their mental health in order to perform in all aspects of their lives.

ERIN UNDERSTANDS THE UNIQUE CHALLENGES ATHLETES FACE AND THE IMPORTANCE OF TRAINING YOUR MIND JUST LIKE YOU TRAIN YOUR BODY.
