Tony was raised in the small mountain town of Truckee, CA outside of Lake Tahoe. He grew up a multi-sport athlete participating in football, basketball, and track and field. Tony received his undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon where he was first introduced to sports medicine that then led to athletic training.

Tony gained experience working with Division 1 football, women’s soccer, and softball before deciding to pursue his master’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR. During his Master’s program, Tony worked with many Division 1 athletes including football, men’s track and field, and women’s volleyball along with being a student athletic trainer at a local high school.

After obtaining his Master’s degree he moved to Seattle, WA where he was an athletic trainer for the Seattle Seahawks for 2 seasons, where he gained experience in sports medicine working with high-level athletes during the regular season and the off-season. After 2 years in Seattle, Tony decided to return to school to obtain his doctorate of physical therapy here in Colorado and the University of Colorado - Anschutz Medical Campus.

As a PT student, one of Tony’s favorite rotations was working at the EXOS performance center in Gulf Breeze, Florida. He provided PT and received formal education about sports performance training & sports performance physical therapy, and how to blend the two fields to make his patients feel and perform better. Tony has worked to advance his career in sports physical therapy as a dual credentialed athletic trainer and physical therapist. His passion steams from getting athletes of all ages and sports back to doing what they love.
