Mental health advocacy programs/seminars can be completely customized to teams’/organizations’ unique common themes or priorities.
Goals of seminars:
Allow for a space for athletes to grow, not just learn.
Foster conversation amongst athletes on mental health.
Build teammates’ bonds with each other in order to help them feel more comfortable opening up about tougher topics.
Increase awareness of mental health challenges within the athletic community.
Decrease stigma around mental health topics/conversations.
Provide resources and tangible takeaways to implement in order to improve athletes’ own, as well as others’, mental health.
